1. I misspelled a player's name in one game and now the cumulative stats list the player twice. How do I fix this ?
ANSWER
You'll need to edit the
games that do not have
the correct spelling for your player and modify that player's
name.
To do this, from the desktop software, select 'File : Game :
Edit'.
Select the game file and 'Start' button. Once the
game is displayed,
select 'File : Team : Edit' and select the team your player is
on. From the team dialog, select 'Edit
Roster'. Modify the player's name
and select the 'Update Player' button. Select 'ok'
to save the roster
and 'ok' to save the team. The game should now have
the new spelling
for your player -- and the names will match in cumulative stats.
To prevent this from happening again, make sure your player's name
is spelled correctly in your Team file before using that team file in a
new game.
2. I hit the "Next inning" button too many times at the end of the game. Each time I hit "next inning" the software created a new inning. So in a game with 5 innings of data, I have 4 additional innings with no data. How do I delete these innings with no data in them?
ANSWER
Edit your game and select an at bat in an inning
prior to the last
inning. From the menu, select 'Edit : Delete Last
Inning'. Repeat
this until all of the blank innings are removed.
3. I was scoring a girls softball game that went into extra innings. When the visiting team came up in the top of the 8th, they sent the last batter that was out in the 7th inning to 2nd base. Since she was recorded as out (in the 7th inning) and the scoring software moved on to the next batter in the lineup for the 8th inning, I was not able to add her to the 8th inning scoring. Is there a way to get around this problem?
ANSWER
In the software, select
'next at bat' until you reach the player that received the last out in
the previous inning. Select 'On Base' : 'International Tie
Breaker Rule 2nd'. This will place the player on
2nd -- select 'next at bat' and record the rest of the game.
The extra at bats will not cause any problems in
the stats.

4. Is it possible to export the roster from a game file into a team file?
ANSWER
Yes. The
program
saves a copy of each team in the game files -- so, this is how you can
extract the teams from a game :
Open the game file -
'file : game : edit'
and select 'start'. With the game file opened,
select 'File : Team :
Edit' and select the team. From the team edit
dialog, select 'Save
As' and save to a .TEM or .CSV file.
5. Is there a way to save the scoresheet to a PDF file ?
ANSWER
Yes. We
recommend using pdf995 (www.pdf995.com).
When installed, it is used just like another printer attached
to your computer only the output is directed to a PDF file.
Before you print, select the 'Printer
Setup' button. From the setup dialog, select the 'Printer'
button -- then, select 'PDF995' as your printer; 'Ok', 'Ok'
and 'Print'. Here's a sample output : sample.pdf
